The workshop on data and standardisation at LASYS2018 resumed the activities in LASHARE and provided a sound overview about the needs of SMEs in today's markets. The consortium collected requirements for harmonisation of interfaces of laser-based equipment, and visitors agreed on the identified needs.

Since the start of the second wave of assessments, ICT integration moved into the focus of the development activities. Fraunhofer ISST developed an approach to categorise and classify data sources and the use of such data. Many assessments have now implemented data processing to identify the condition of their machine or to enhance quality control.

All these results will feed into the LASHARE Platform that is to be launched soon.
